Ma'ashym (Acts) — 12
Ya'aqub Is Killed and Kafa Is Imprisoned
After some time King Harud Agrippa began to persecute some believers in their congregation.
He killed Ya'aqub the brother of Yahukanun with a sword.
When Harud saw how much this pleased the Yahudym people, he also arrested Kafa. (This took place during the Passakh celebration.)
Then Harud imprisoned Kafa, placing him under the guard of four squads of four soldiers each. Harud intended to bring Kafa out for public trial after the Passakh.
But while Kafa was in prison, the Qadash ones prayed very earnestly for Kafa.
The night before Kafa was to be placed on trial, Kafa was asleep, fastened with two chains between two soldiers. Others stood guard at the prison gate.
Suddenly, there was a bright light in the cell, and the Malak of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH stood before Kafa. The Malak struck Kafa on the side to awaken him and said, “Quick! Get up!” And the chains fell off his wrists.
Then the Malak told Kafa, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” And he did. “Now put on your coat and follow me,”
So Kafa left the cell, following the Malak. But all the time Kafa thought it was a vision. Kafa did not realize it was actually happening.
They passed the first and second guard posts and came to the iron gate leading to the city, and this opened for them all by itself. So they passed through and started walking down the street, and then the Malak of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH suddenly left Kafa.
When Kafa finally came to his senses. “It is really true!” Kafa said. “𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH has sent His Malak and saved me from Harud and from what the Yahudym leaders had planned to do to me!”
When he realized this, he went to the home of Maryam, the mother of Yunah Mark, where many Qadash ones were gathered for prayer.
And Kafa knocked at the door in the gate, and a servant girl named Rhuda came to open it.
When she recognized Kafa’s voice, she was so overjoyed that, instead of opening the door, she ran back inside and told everyone, “Kafa is standing at the door!”
“You are out of your mind!” they said. When she insisted, they decided, “It must be his Malak.”
Meanwhile, Kafa continued knocking. When they finally opened the door and saw Kafa, they were amazed.
Kafa motioned for them to quiet down and told them how 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH had led him out of prison. “Tell Ya'aqub and the other brothers what happened,” he said. And then he went to another place.
At dawn there was a great commotion among the soldiers about what had happened to Kafa.
Harud Agrippa ordered a thorough search for Kafa. When he could not be found, Harud interrogated the guards and sentenced them to death. Afterward Harud left Yahudah to stay in Caasaraa for a while.
The Death of Harud Agrippa
Now Harud was very angry with the people of Tyra and Sidun. So they sent a delegation to make Shalum with him because their cities were dependent upon Harud’s country for food. The delegates won the support of Blastus, Harud’s personal assistant,
and an appointment with Harud was granted. When the day arrived, Harud put on his royal robes, sat on his throne, and made a speech to them.
The people gave him a great ovation, shouting, “It is the voice of a deity, not of a man!”
Instantly, the Malak of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH struck Harud with a sickness, because he accepted the people’s worship instead of giving the Kabad to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH. So he was consumed with worms and died.
Meanwhile, the Dabar of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH continued to spread, and there were many new believers.
When Barnabas and Shaul had finished their mission to Yahushalam, they returned, taking Yunah Mark with them.
