Ma'ashym (Acts) — 11

Kafa Explains His Actions

Soon the news reached the Shaliachs and other believers in Yahudah that the people of other nations (not Yahudym) had received the Dabar of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH.
But when Kafa arrived back in Yahushalam, the Yahudym believers criticized him.
“You entered the home of someone that is not a Yahudym and even ate with them!” they said.
Then Kafa told them exactly what had happened.
“I was in the town of Yuppa,” he said, “and while I was praying, I went into a trance and saw a vision. Something like a large sheet was let down by its four corners from the sky. And it came right down to me.
When I looked inside the sheet, I saw all sorts of tame and wild animals, reptiles, and birds.
And I heard a voice say, ‘Get up, Kafa; kill and eat them.’
“‘No, MASTER,’ I replied. ‘I have never eaten anything that our Yahudym laws have declared impure or unclean.’
“But the voice from Shamaym spoke again: ‘Do not call something unclean if 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH has made it clean.’
This happened three times before the sheet and all it contained was pulled back up to Shamaym.
“Just then three men who had been sent from Caasaraa arrived at the house we were staying.
The RUACH Ha'Qadash told me to go with them and not to worry that they were from other nations (not Yahudym). These six brothers here accompanied me, and we soon entered the home of the man who had sent for us.
He told us how a Malak had appeared to him in his home and had told him, ‘Send messengers to Yuppa, and summon a man named Kafa.
He will tell you how you and everyone in your household can be saved!’
“As I began to speak,” Kafa continued, “the RUACH Ha'Qadash fell on them, just as He fell on us at the beginning.
Then I thought of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA’s words when He said, ‘Yahukanun baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the RUACH Ha'Qadash.’
And since 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH gave these other nations the same gift He gave us when we believed in  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA Ha'Mashyach, who was I to stand in 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH’s way?”
When the others heard this, they stopped objecting and they Yadah  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH. They said, “We can see that 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH has also given the other nations the privilege of repenting of their sins and receiving eternal life.”
Meanwhile, the believers who had been scattered during the persecution after Staphan’s death traveled as far as Phuanicia, Cyprus, and Antiuch of Syria. They preached the Dabar of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH, but only to Yahudym.
However, some of the believers who went to Antiuch from Cyprus and Cyrana began preaching to the other nations about 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA Ha'Mashyach.
The power of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH was with them, and a large number of these other nations believed and turned to  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH.
When the Qadash ones at Yahushalam heard what had happened, they sent Barnabas to Antiuch.
When he arrived and saw this evidence of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH’s Barakah, he was filled with joy, and he encouraged the believers to stay true to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH.
Barnabas was a good man, full of the RUACH Ha'Qadash and strong in Amunah. And many people were brought to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH.
Then Barnabas went on to Tarsus to look for Shaul.
When he found Shaul, he brought him back to Antiuch. Both of them stayed there with the Qadash ones for a full year, teaching large crowds of people. (It was at Antiuch that the believers were first called followers of Ha'Mashyach.)
During this time some Nabym traveled from Yahushalam to Antiuch.
One of them named Agabus stood up in one of the meetings and predicted by the RUACH that a great famine was coming upon the entire Roman world. (This was fulfilled during the reign of Claudius.)
So the believers in Antiuch decided to send relief to the brothers and sisters in Yahudym, everyone giving as much as they could.
This they did, entrusting their gifts to Barnabas and Shaul to take to the elders of the followers of Ha'Mashyach (qadash ones) in Yahushalam.
