The Divisions of the Kuhanym 

1 Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aarun. The sons of Aarun were Nadab, Abihu, Alaazar, and Ithamar. 

2 And Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children; therefore Alaazar and Ithamar ministered as Kuhanym. 

3 Then King Daud with Zaduk of the sons of Aleazar, and Ahimalach of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to the schedule of their service.

4 There were more leaders found of the sons of Alaazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and thus they were divided. Among the sons of Alaazar were sixteen heads of their fathers’ houses, and eight heads of their fathers’ houses among the sons of Ithamar. 

5 Thus they were divided by lot, one group as another, for there were officials of the sanctuary and officials of the house of  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH, from the sons of Alaazar and from the sons of Ithamar. 

6 And the scribe, Shamayahu the son of Nathanal, one of the Lauym, wrote them down before the king, the leaders, Zaduk the Kuhan, Ahimalach the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Kuhanym and Lauym, one father’s house taken for Alaazar and one for Ithamar.

7 Now the first lot fell to Yahuiarib, the second to Yadayahu, 

8 the third to Harim, the fourth to Saurim, 

9 the fifth to Malchiyahu, the sixth to Miyamin, 

10 the seventh to Hakkuz, the eighth to Abiyahu, 

11 the ninth to Yashua, the tenth to Shacanyahu, 

12 the eleventh to Aliashib, the twelfth to Yakim, 

13 the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Yashabaab, 

14 the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immar, 

15 the seventeenth to Hazir, the eighteenth to Happizzaz, 

16 the nineteenth to Pathahyahu, the twentieth to Yahazakal, 

17 the twenty-first to Yachin, the twenty-second to Gamul, 

18 the twenty-third to Dalayahu, the twenty-fourth to Maazyahu.

19 This was the schedule of their service for coming into the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH according to their ordinance by the hand of Aarun their father, as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH  the 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH of Yashar'AL had commanded him.

20 And the rest of the sons of Lauy: of the sons of Amram, Shubaal; of the sons of Shubaal, Yahdayahu. 

21 Concerning Rahabyahu, of the sons of Rahabyahu, the first was Isshyahu. 

22 Of the Izharites, Shalumuth; of the sons of Shalumuth, Yahath. 

23 Of the sons of Habrun, Yaryahu was the first, Amaryahu the second, Yahazial the third, and Yakamaam the fourth. 

24 Of the sons of Uzzial, Michah; of the sons of Michah, Shamir. 

25 The brother of Michah, Isshyahu; of the sons of Isshyahu, Zachariyahu. 

26 The sons of Marari were Mahli and Mushi; the son of Yaazyahu, Banu. 

27 The sons of Marari by Yaazyahu were Banu, Shuham, Zaccur, and Ibri. 

28 Of Mahli: Alaazar, who had no sons. 

29 Of Kish: the son of Kish, Yarahmaal.

30 Also the sons of Mushi were Mahli, Adar, and Yarimuth. These were the sons of the Lauym according to their fathers’ houses.

31 These also cast lots just as their brothers the sons of Aarun did, in the presence of King Daud, Zaduk, Ahimalach, and the heads of the Father's houses of the Kuhanym and Lauym. The chief fathers did just as their younger brethren.
