Barashyt(Genesis) — 35
And 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH Dabar unto Ya'aqub, Arise, go up to Bathal, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Asau thy brother.
Then Ya'aqub said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange idols that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:
And let us arise, and go up to Bathal; and I will make there an altar unto 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.
And they gave unto Ya'aqub all the strange idols which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Ya'aqub hid them under the oak which was by Shacham.
And they journeyed: and the terror of 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Ya'aqub.
So Ya'aqub came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, that is, Bathal, he and all the people that were with him.
And he built there an altar, and called the place Albathal: because there 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH appeared unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother.
But Daburah, Rabakah's nurse died, and she was buried beneath Bathal under an oak: and the name of it was called Allunbachuth.
And 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH appeared unto Ya'aqub again, when he came out of Padanaram, and Baraked him.
And 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH Dabar unto Ya'aqub, your name is Ya'aqub: your name shall not be called Ya'aqub any more, but YASHAR'AL shall be your name: and he called his name YASHAR'AL.
And 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH Dabar unto Ya'aqub, I am 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH (AL'Mighty ONE): be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;
The land which I gave Abraham and Yachaq I give to you; and to your descendants after you I give this land.”
Then 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH went up from Ya'aqub in the place where He talked with him.
So Ya'aqub set up a pillar in the place where He talked with 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH, a pillar of stone; and he poured a drink offering on it, and he poured oil on it.
And Ya'aqub called the name of the place where 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH spoke with him, Bathal.
Then they journeyed from Bathal. And when there was but a little distance to go to Aphrath, Rachal labored in childbirth, and she had hard labor.
Now it came to pass, when she was in hard labor, that the midwife said to her, “Do not fear; you will have this son also.”
And so it was, as her soul was departing (for she died), that she called his name Ban_uny; but his father called him Banyamyn.
So Rachal died and was buried on the way to Aphrath (that is, Bathlaham).
And Ya'aqub set a pillar on her grave, which is the pillar of Rachal’s grave to this day.
Then YASHAR'AL journeyed and pitched his tent beyond the tower of Adar.
And it happened, when YASHAR'AL dwelt in that land, that Rauban went and lay with Bilhah his father’s concubine; and YASHAR'AL heard about it. Now the sons of Ya'aqub were twelve:
the sons of La'ah were Rauban, Ya'aqub’s firstborn, and Simaun, Lauy, Yahudah, Issachar, and Zabulun;
the sons of Rachal were Ya'asaf and Banyamyn;
the sons of Bilhah, Rachal’s maidservant, were Dan and Naphtali;
and the sons of Zilpah, La'ah’s maidservant, were Gad and Ashar. These were the sons of Ya'aqub who were born to him in Padan Aram.
Then Ya'aqub came to his father Yachaq at Mamra, or Kirjath Arba (that is, Habrun), where Abraham and Yachaq had dwelt.
Now the days of Yachaq were one hundred and eighty years.
So Yachaq breathed his last and died, and was gathered to his people, being old and full of days. And his sons Asau and Ya'aqub buried him.
