Yubalym (Jubilee) — 45

1 And Yashar'AL went into the country of Mitzraym, into the land of Gushan, on the New Moon of the fourth month, in the second year of the third week of the forty fifth Yubalym.

2 And Ya'asaf went to meet his father Ya'aqub in the land of Gushan, and Ya'asaf fell on his father's neck and wept.

3 And Yashar'AL said unto Ya'asaf: Now let me die since I have seen you and now may 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH the 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH of Yashar'AL be Baraked, the 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH of Abraham and the 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH of Yachaq who has not withheld his mercy and his Kabad from his servant Ya'aqub.

4 It is enough for me that I have seen your face while I am yet alive; yea, true is the vision which I saw at Bayt-AL. Baraked be 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH our 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH forever and ever and barak be his Name.

5 And Ya'asaf and his brothers ate bread before their father and drank wine, and Ya'aqub rejoiced with exceeding great joy because he saw Ya'asaf eating with his brothers and drinking before him, and he Baraked the Creator of all things who had preserved him and had preserved for him his twelve sons.

6 And Ya'asaf had given to his father and to his brothers as a gift the right of dwelling in the land of Gushan and in Ra'amcac and all the region round about, which he ruled over before Phar'uh. And Yashar'AL and his sons dwelt in the land of Gushan, the best part of the land of Mitzraym and Yashar'AL was one hundred and thirty years old when he came into Mitsrayim.

7 And Ya'asaf nourished his father and his brethren and also their possessions with bread as much as sufficed them for the seven years of the famine.

8 And the land of Mitzraym suffered by reason of the famine, and Ya'asaf acquired all the land of Mitzraym for Phar'uh in return for food, and he got possession of the people and their cattle and everything for Phar'uh.

9 And the years of the famine were accomplished, and Ya'asaf gave to the people in the land seed and food that they might sow the land in the eighth year, for the river had overflowed all the land of Mitzraym.

10 For in the seven years of the famine it had not overflowed and had irrigated only a few places on the banks of the river, but now it overflowed and the Mitsriym sowed the land, and it bore much grain that year.

11 And this was the first year of the fourth week of the forty fifth Yubalym.

12 And Ya'asaf took of the grain of the harvest the fifth part for the king and left four parts for them for food and for seed, and Ya'asaf made it an ordinance for the land of Mitzraym until this day.

13 And Yashar'AL lived in the land of Mitzraym seventeen years, and all the days which he lived were three Yubalym, one hundred and forty-seven years, and he died in the fourth year of the fifth week of the forty fifth Yubalym.

14 And Yashar'AL Baraked his sons before he died and told them everything that would befall them in the land of Mitzraym; and he made known to them what would come upon them in the last days and Baraked them and gave to Ya'asaf two portions in the land.

15 And Ya'aqub slept with his fathers, and he was buried in the double cave in the land of Kana'an, near Abraham his father in the grave which he dug for himself in the double cave in the land of Habrun.

16 And Ya'aqub gave all his Shaparym (books) and the Shapharym of his fathers to Lauy his son that he might guard them and renew them for his children until this day.
