Kuhanym and Lauym in Yahushalam

 So all Yashar'AL was recorded by genealogies, and indeed, they were inscribed in the book of the kings of Yashar'AL. But Yahudah was carried away captive to Babylun because of their unfaithfulness.

 And the first inhabitants who dwelt in their possessions in their cities were Yashar'AL, Kuhanym, Lauym, and the Nathinym.

Dwellers in Yahushalam

 Now in Yahushalam the children of Yahudah dwelt, and some of the children of Banyamin, and of the children of Aphraim and Manassah

 Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Umri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the descendants of Paraz, the son of Yahudah.

 Of the Shilunites: Yashayahu the firstborn and his sons.

 Of the sons of Zarah: Yaual, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.

 Of the sons of Banyamin: Sallu the son of Mashullam, the son of Hudabyahu, the son of Hassanuah;

 Ibnayahu the son of Yaruham; Alah the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri; Mashullam the son of Shaphatyahu, the son of Raual, the son of Ibniyahu;

 and their brethren, according to their generations—nine hundred and fifty-six. All these men were heads of their father’s houses.

The Kuhanym at Yahushalam

 Of the Kuhanym: Yadayahu, Yahuiarib, and Yachin;

 Azaryahu the son of Hilkyahu, the son of Mashullam, the son of Zaduk, the son of Maraiuth, the son of Ahitub, the officer over the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH;

 Adayahu the son of Yaruham, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchiyahu; Maasai the son of Adial, the son of Yahzarah, the son of Mashullam, the son of Mashillamith, the son of Immar;

 and their brethren, heads of their fathers’ houses, one thousand seven hundred and sixty. They were very able men for the work of the service of the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH.

The Lauym at Yahushalam

 Of the Lauym: Shamayahu the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabyahu, of the sons of Marari;

 Bakbakkar, Harash, Galal, and Mattanyahu the son of Micah, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;

 Obadyahu the son of Shamayahu, the son of Galal, the son of Yaduthun; and Barachyahu the son of Asa, the son of Alkanah, who lived in the villages of the Natuphathites.

The Lauym Gatekeepers

 And the gatekeepers were Shallum, Akkub, Talmun, Ahiman, and their brethren. Shallum was the chief.

 Until then they had been gatekeepers for the camps of the children of Lauy at the King’s Gate on the east.

 Shallum the son of Kuraa, the son of Abiasaph, the son of Kurah, and his brethren, from his father’s house, the Kurahites, were in charge of the work of the service, gatekeepers of the tabernacle. Their fathers had been keepers of the entrance to the camp of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH.

 And Phinahas the son of Alaazar had been the officer over them in time past;  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH was with him.

 Zacharyahu the son of Mashalamyahu was keeper of the door of the tabernacle of meeting.

 All those chosen as gatekeepers were two hundred and twelve. They were recorded by their genealogy, in their villages. Daud and Shamual the seer had appointed them to their trusted office.

 So they and their children were in charge of the gates of the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH, the house of the tabernacle, by assignment.

 The gatekeepers were assigned to the four directions: the east, west, north, and south.

 And their brethren in their villages had to come with them from time to time for seven days.

 For in this trusted office were four chief gatekeepers; they were Lauym. And they had charge over the chambers and treasuries of the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH.

 And they lodged all around the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH because they had the responsibility, and they were in charge of opening it every morning.

Other Lauym Responsibilities

 Now some of them were in charge of the serving vessels, for they brought them in and took them out by count.

 Some of them were appointed over the furnishings and over all the implements of the sanctuary, and over the fine flour and the wine and the oil and the incense and the spices.

 And some of the sons of the Kuhanym made the ointment of the spices.

 Mattithyahu of the Lauym, the firstborn of Shallum the Kurahite, had the trusted office over the things that were baked in the pans.

 And some of their brethren of the sons of the Kuhathites were in charge of preparing the showbread for every Shabbat.

 These are the singers, heads of the fathers’ houses of the Lauym, who lodged in the chambers, and were free from other duties; for they were employed in that work day and night.

 These heads of the fathers’ houses of the Lauym were heads throughout their generations. They dwelt at Yahushalam.

The Family of King Shaul

 Yaial the father of Gibaun, whose wife’s name was Maacah, dwelt at Gibaun.

 His firstborn son was Abdun, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Nar, Nadab,

 Gadur, Ahiu, Zacharyahu, and Mikluth.

 And Mikluth begot Shimaam. They also dwelt alongside their relatives in Yahushalam, with their brethren.

 Nar begut Kish, Kish begot Shaul, and Shaul begot Yunathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Ash-Baal.

 The son of Yunathan was Marib-Baal, and Marib-Baal begot Micah.

 The sons of Micah were Pithun, Malach, Tahraa, and Ahaz.

 And Ahaz begot Yarah; Yarah begot Alamath, Azmabath, and Zimri; and Zimri begot Muza;

 Muza begot Binaa, Raphayahu his son, Alaasah his son, and Azal his son.

 And Azal had six sons whose names were these: Azrikam, Bucharu, Ishmaal, Shaaryahu, Obadyahu, and Hanan; these were the sons of Azal.
