Yahusha Ba'Nun (Joshua) — 11
Yashar'AL Defeats the Northern Armies
When King Yabin of Hazur heard what had happened, he sent messages to the following kings: King Yubab of Madun; the king of Shimrun; the king of Acshaph;
all the kings of the northern hill country; the kings in the Yurdan Valley south of Galilee; the kings in the Galilaan foothills; the kings of Naphuth-dur on the west;
the kings of Canaan, both east and west; the kings of the Amurites, the Hittites, the Parizzites, the Yabusites in the hill country, and the Hibites in the towns on the slopes of Mount Harmun in the land of Mizpah.
All these kings came out to fight. Their combined armies formed a vast horde. And with all their horses and chariots, they covered the landscape like the sand on the seashore.
The kings joined forces and established their camp around the water near Marum to fight against Yashar'AL.
Then 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH Dabar to Yahusha, “Do not be afraid of them. By this time tomorrow I will hand all of them over to Yashar'AL as dead men. Then you must cripple their horses and burn their chariots.”
So Yahusha and all his fighting men traveled to the water near Marum and attacked suddenly.
And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH gave them victory over their enemies. The Yasharalym chased them as far as Greater Sidun and Misraphuth-maim, and eastward into the valley of Mizpah, until not one enemy warrior was left alive.
Then Yahusha crippled the horses and burned all the chariots, as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH had instructed.
Yahusha then turned back and captured Hazur and killed its king. (Hazur had at one time been the capital of all these kingdoms.)
The Yasharalym completely destroyed every living thing in the city, leaving no survivors. Not a single person was spared. And then Yahusha burned the city.
Yahusha slaughtered all the other kings and their people, completely destroying them, just as Musha, the servant of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH, had commanded.
But the Yasharalym did not burn any of the towns built on mounds except Hazur, which Yahusha burned.
And the Yasharalym took all the plunder and livestock of the ravaged towns for themselves. But they killed all the people, leaving no survivors.
As 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH had commanded his servant Musha, so Musha commanded Yahusha Ba'Nun. And Yahusha did as he was told, carefully obeying all the commandments that 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH had given to Musha.
So Yahusha conquered the entire region—the hill country, the entire Nagab, the whole area around the town of Gushan, the western foothills, the Yurdan Valley, the mountains of Yashar'AL, and the Galilyan foothills.
The Yasharalym territory now extended all the way from Mount Halak, which leads up to Sair in the south, as far north as Baal-gad at the foot of Mount Harmun in the valley of Labanun. Yahusha killed all the kings of those territories,
waging war for a long time to accomplish this.
No one in this region made Shalum with the Yasharalym except the Hibites of Gibaun. All the others were defeated.
For 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH hardened their hearts and caused them to fight the Yasharalym. So they were completely destroyed without mercy, as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH had commanded Musha.
During this period Yahusha Ba'Nun destroyed all the descendants of Anak, who lived in the hill country of Habrun, Dabir, Anab, and the entire hill country of Yahudah and Yashar'AL. He killed them all and completely destroyed their towns.
None of the descendants of Anak were left in all the land of Yashar'AL, though some still remained in Gaza, Gath, and Ashdud.
So Yahusha took control of the entire land, just as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH had instructed Musha. He gave it to the people of Yashar'AL as their special possession, dividing the land among the tribes. So the land finally had rest from war.
