Yahusha Ba'Nun (Joshua) — 4
Memorials to the Yurdan Crossing
When all the people had crossed the Yurdan, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH Dabar to Yahusha Ba'Nun,
“Now choose twelve men, one from each tribe.
Tell them, ‘Take twelve stones from the very place where the Kuhanym are standing in the middle of the Yurdan. Carry them out and pile them up at the place where you will camp tonight.’”
So Yahusha Ba'Nun called together the twelve men he had chosen one from each of the tribes of Yashar'AL.
He told them, “Go into the middle of the Yurdan, in front of the Ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH your 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH. Each of you must pick up one stone and carry it out on your shoulder twelve stones in all, one for each of the twelve tribes of Yashar'AL.
We will use these stones to build a memorial. In the future your children will ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’
Then you can tell them, ‘They remind us that the Yurdan River stopped flowing when the Ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH’s Covenant went across.’ These stones will stand as a memorial among the people of Yashar'AL forever.”
So the men did as Yahusha had commanded them. They took twelve stones from the middle of the Yurdan River, one for each tribe, just as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH had told Yahusha. They carried them to the place where they camped for the night and constructed the memorial there.
Yahusha Ba'Nun also set up another pile of twelve stones in the middle of the Yurdan, at the place where the Kuhanym who carried the Ark of the Covenant were standing, and they are there to this day.
The Kuhanym who were carrying the Ark stood in the middle of the river until all of the commands of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH that Musha had given to Yahusha Ba'Nun were carried out. Meanwhile, the people hurried across the river channel.
And when everyone was safely on the other side, the Kuhanym crossed over with the Ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH as the people watched.
The armed warriors from the tribes of Rauban, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manassah led the Yasharalym across the Yurdan, just as Musha had directed.
These armed men about 40,000 strong were ready for battle, For 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH was with them as they crossed over to the plains of Yarichu.
That day 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH made Yahusha Ba'Nun a great leader in the eyes of all the Yasharalym, and for the rest of his life they revered him as much as they had revered Musha.
Then 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH Dabar to Yahusha,
“Command the Kuhanym carrying the Ark of the Covenant to come up out of the river Yurdan.”
So Yahusha gave the command.
As soon as the Kuhanym carrying the Ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH’s Covenant came up out of the river Yurdan and their feet were on high ground, the water of the Yurdan returned and overflowed its banks as before.
The people crossed the Yurdan on the tenth day of the first month. Then they camped at Gilgal, just east of Yarichu.
It was there at Gilgal that Yahusha Ba'Nun piled up the twelve stones taken from the Yurdan River.
Then Yahusha said to the Yasharalym, “In the future your children will ask, ‘What do these stones mean?’
Then you can tell them, ‘This is where the Yasharalym crossed the Yurdan on dry ground.’
For 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH your 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH dried up the river right before your eyes, and he kept it dry until you were all across, just as he did at the Red Sea when he dried it up until we had all crossed over.
For 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH did this so all the nations of the Arath might know that His hand is powerful, and so you might fear 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH your 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH forever.”
