Colossians — 2
Not Philosophy but Ha'Mashyach
1 I want you to know how much I have agonized for you and for the Qadash Assembly at Laodicea, and for many other believers who have never met me personally.
2 I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of Ahaba (love). I want them to have complete confidence that they understand the mysterious plan of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH, which is 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA Ha'Mashyach himself.
3 In Ha'Mashyach lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
4 I am telling you this so no one will deceive you with well crafted arguments.
5 For though I am far away from you, my heart is with you. And I rejoice that you are living as you should live and that your Amunah in Ha'Mashyach is strong.
6 And now, just as you accepted 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA Ha'Mashyach as your Master, you must continue to follow Him.
7 Let your roots grow down into Ha'Mashyach, and let your lives be built on Ha'Mashyach. Then your Amunah will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
8 Do not let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and deception that come from man's thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, and not according to Ha'Mashyach.
9 For in Ha'Mashyach dwells all the fullness of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH in a man's body.
10 So you also are complete through your union with Ha'Mashyach, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
11 When you came to Ha'Mashyach, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Ha'Mashyach performed a spiritual circumcision, the cutting away of your sinful nature.
12 For you were buried with Ha'Mashyach when you were baptized. And with Ha'Mashyach you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH, who raised Ha'Mashyach from the dead.
13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH made you alive with Ha'Mashyach, for 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH forgave us all our sins.
14 And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA Ha'Mashyach canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the execution stake.
15 In this way, Ha'Mashyach disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by His victory over them on the execution stake.
16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or shabbats,
17 For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Ha'Mashyach Himself is that reality.
18 Let no one cheat you of your reward, by taking delight in false humility and worship of Malakym, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19 And they are not connected to Ha'Mashyach, the head of the body. For Ha'Mashyach holds the whole body together with its joints and ligaments, and it grows as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH nourishes it.
20 You have died with Ha'Mashyach, and Ha'Mashyach has set you free from the spiritual powers of this world. So why do you keep on following the rules of the world, such as,
21 “Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”?
22 Such rules are mere man's teachings about things that deteriorate as we use them.
23 These things have the appearance of wisdom in promoting self-made religion, humility, and harsh treatment of the body, but they have no value against self indulgence of the flesh.
