The Promise of the RUACH Ha'Qadash
1 In my first book I told you, Thauphilus, I wrote about everything 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA began to do and teach
2 Until the day 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA was taken up to Shamaym after giving his chosen Shaliach (apostles) further instructions through the RUACH Ha'Qadash.
3 After 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA had risen from death, during forty days He appeared to the Talmidym from time to time, and He proved to them in many ways that He was actually alive. And He talked to them about the Kingdom of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH.
4 On one occasion, while 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA was eating with His Talmidym, He gave them this command: “Do not leave Yahushalam until ABBA 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH sends you the gift HE promised, as I told you before.
5 Yahukanun baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the RUACH Ha'Qadash.”
YAHUSHA went back to Shamaym
6 So when the Shaliach (apostles) were with 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA, they kept asking Him, “Master, has the time come for you to free Yashar'AL and restore our kingdom?”
7 Then 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA replied, “ABBA 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know.
8 But you will receive power when the RUACH Ha'Qadash comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about Me everywhere in Yahushalam, throughout Yahudah, in Samaria, and to the ends of the Arath.”
9 After saying this, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see Him.
10 As they strained to see 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA rising into Shamaym, two white robed men suddenly stood among them.
11 “Men of Galily,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into Shamaym? 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA has been taken from you into Shamaym, but someday 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA will return from Shamaym in the same way you saw Him go!”
Matthias Replaces Yudas Iscariut
12 Then the Shaliach (apostles) returned to Yahushalam from the Mount of Olives, a distance of half a mile.
13 When they arrived, they went to the upstairs room of the house where they were staying.
Here are the names of those who were present: Kafa, Yahukanun, Ya'aqub, Andraw, Philip, Thumas, Barthulumaw, Mattatyahu, Ya'aqub (son of Alphaus), Simun (the Zalut), and Yudas (son of Ya'aqub).
14 They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Maryam the mother of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA, several other women, and the brothers of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA.
15 During this time, when about one hundred and twenty believers were together in one place, Kafa stood up and addressed them.
16 “Brothers,” he said, “the Scriptures had to be fulfilled concerning Yudas Iscariut, who guided those who arrested 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA. This was predicted long ago by the RUACH Ha'Qadash, speaking through King Daud.
17 Yudas was numbered with us and shared in the twelve fold with us.”
18 (Yudas Iscariut had bought a field with the money he received for his treachery. Falling headfirst there, his body split open, spilling out all his intestines.
19 Everyone in Yahushalam heard about this, so they called that field in their language Akaldama, that is, Field of Blood.)
20 Kafa continued, “This was written in the book of Tahalym (Psalms), where it says, ‘Let his home become desolate, with no one living in it.’ It also says, ‘Let someone else take his position.’ (Tahalym 109:8)
21 “So now we must choose a replacement for Yudas Iscariut from among the men who were with us the entire time we were traveling with 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA Ha'Mashyach
22 from the time 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA was baptized by Yahukanun until the day 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA was taken from us. Whoever is chosen will join us as a witness of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA’s resurrection.
23 So they nominated two men: Ya'asaf called Barsabbas (also known as Yustus) and Matthias.
24 Then they all prayed, “O 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH, you know every heart. Show us which of these men you have chosen
25 as a Shaliach (apostle) to replace Yudas in this twelve fold, for Yudas Iscariut has deserted us and gone where he belongs.”
26 Then they cast lots, and Matthias was selected to become a Talmidym with the other eleven.
